Ronald Powell

Ronald Powell is a senior at Rancho Verde High School in Moreno Valley, California. He is six feett four inches. He weighs two-hundred and thirty pounds. His forty-time is an amazing 4.52 seconds. He also benches three-hundred and fifty-five pounds,  squats an unbelievable four-hundred and ninety-five pounds, and his vertical jump is thirty-seven inches.

Although he is from California he has been interested in many colleges on the east side of the country like Florida, Auburn, Georgia Tech, and Tennessee. His highest interests are at Florida and, of course, USC. Powell has already visited Florida's campus, so he is more likely to choose there because he knows he will get a good amount of playing time if he practices to his highest abilities and he never quits playing the game that he loves.

Lache Seastrunk

Lache is the running back for Temple High School, he is 5'11'', 192 lbs. He also benches 250 lbs and squats 500 lbs. His vertical is 35''. Fast, explosive, electric, either way you slice it, Seastrunk is arguably one of this class' biggest game-breakers at the running back position. He lacks ideal size but is very well-built, defined and his tight, quick twitched body allows him to run and play much bigger. He is very sudden through the hole and reaches top speed by just his second or third step. Seastrunk displays great feet and quickness, picking and darting his way through the initial traffic. He knows how to make himself thin and demonstrates excellent body control and balance. Seastrunk runs with his eyes seeing the small creases open quickly. He has loose hips, great stop-start skill and can cut and change direction on a dime -- making him very slippery to wrap up cleanly. He flashes excellent speed, burst and acceleration when he finds a north-south seam. For a shorter back, he has a longer, smoother stride when he breaks free in the second level and shows he can switch gears and pull away from faster pursuing defensive backs. While he shows great perimeter speed and lateral quickness bouncing the zone play outside, we would like to see him get north more decisively as a runner. Seastrunk can have a tendency to waste lateral east-west steps and won't be able to take those unnecessary lateral cuts at the next level versus faster pursuing defenders. We question his in-line running strength and potential for yards after contact production in college. He struggles, at times, breaking initial tackles; his overall running power is not a strong area and Seastrunk does not project well as a high carry, durable back. That said, Seastrunk is a playmaker with the ball in his hands and we expect him to get touches in a variety of ways at the next level. He should make an ideal "space player" in the spread if he can polish up his receiving skills. He's also an immediate threat in the return game. (Luginbill)

2008: Carried 171 times for 1,541 yards (9 average) and 14 touchdowns. 2007: 130 carries for 1,532 yards (11.8 average) and 22 touchdowns.

Marcus Lattimore is a running back for James Byrnes High School, who is 6 feet and 210 lbs. His 40 time is a 4.46. He benches 270 lbs and squats 440 lbs and also has a 32''. Lattimore has the physical tools and skill set to develop into one of this class' more well-rounded college backs. He's very productive and consistent and has prototypical size with his good height and thickly-built frame. His blend of size, speed and deceptive lateral quickness is excellent. Lattimore is a patient runner who excels in zone schemes. He picks and darts his way through the initial traffic showing good stop-start, sharp cutting and change-of- direction skill for a runner with his bulk and thick lower-body. He can be difficult to arm tackle when he squares up and bursts downhill out of his cuts. Lattimore shows flashes of being a strong, downhill runner but we do see some inconsistency with his yards after contact. He struggles, at times, breaking initial tackles and maintaining his balance, particularly on lower-body shots. His legs go dead on contact too often and we would like to see him power through more tackles for his size and deliver the blow. He can make the first defender miss but is not real elusive in space. He often gives defenders a clean shot in the second level. Although not a burner, he does show good acceleration and top-end speed when he breaks free in the secondary for his size. Great hands and polished receiving skills make him more coveted as a running back prospect. The Bottom line is Lattimore is potentially the complete package at the next level and an every down, durable back who could carry the load. His impact and productivity as college runner could be predicated on his ability to his improve in-line power; still looks to have a ton of physical development left. (Hauburt)
